She was predeceased by : her parents, Anthony Hellmann and Ottillia Hellmann (Loecke); her husband Charles "Chuck" Thole; her son Daniel; her granddaughter Tiffany Jo Mensen; and her siblings, Germaine Langel (John), Ambrose Hellmann and Delores Putz (Dave).

She is survived by : her children, Madonna Wilhelm (Charles) of Dyersville, Nancy Mensen (Gary) of Dyersville, Ronald Thole (Susan) of Dyersville, Robert Thole (DeAnn) of Carlile and Gary Thole (Christine) of Grove, Oklahoma; her siblings, Charles Hellmann (Mary) of Holy Cross, Cletus Hellmann (Correne) of Ryan and Eileen Prier (Ed) of Dyersville; and her sister-in-law Eileen Hellmann of Ryan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren.

They were members of St. Francis Xavier Basilica church where they donated time to help wherever it was needed.
