Thomas D. Oberbroeckling Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas D. Oberbroeckling of Dyersville, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2025 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregor Oberbroeckling and Celia Oberbroeckling; his stepdaughter Sue Soppe; his grandson Austin Oberbroeckling; his siblings, Bob Oberbroeckling (Lois), Phyllis Kraus (Jim) and Jim Oberbroeckling; his parents-in-law, Ray and Alvina Brimeyer; and his in-laws, Patsy Lange (Clark), Roger Meyer, Jerome Errthum, Kathy Brimeyer and Tom Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his sons, Pat Oberbroeckling (Angie) and Mike Oberbroeckling (Sandy); his son-in-law Larry Soppe; his grandchildren, Nick Oberbroeckling (Allison), Bethany Johnson (Devin), Sadie Oberbroeckling, Luke Oberbroeckling (Casey), Jack Oberbroeckling (Addison), Hunter Thomas Oberbroeckling (Margeaux), Savanah Oberbroeckling, Samuel Oberbroeckling and Maxwell Oberbroeckling; his sister Jan Bockenstedt (Ron); and his in-laws, Dianne Duwe, Mary Lou Meyer, Judy Boeckenstedt (Dick), Kenny Brimeyer (Dottie), Darlene Boeckenstedt (Larry), Marlene Errthum, Steve Brimeyer (Bonnie) and Karen Turner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kramer Funeral Home (750 12th Ave SW, Dyersville, IA 52040). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Francis Xavier Basilica (104 3rd St SW, Dyersville, IA 52040). The military honors will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the American Legion Post #137 (115 6th St NE, Dyersville, IA 52040). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
