With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Belva Jean Barthelmes of Dysart, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 11, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Belva Jean Barthelmes to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milo Degner and Dorriss Degner (Clough); her stepfather Willard Hook; and her grandparents, William, Ella Degner, Lee and Emma Clough.
She is survived by: her husband Ron of Dysart; her children, Robin Farley (Larry) of Denver, Bart Barthelmes of Clutier and Bridgette Barthelmes of Traer; her grandchildren, Brianna, Luke, Brock Farley, Brandon, Clint and Tyler Barthelmes; her great grandchildren, Aiden and Caitlynn; and her sister Arlis Childs.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dysart United Methodist Church (602 Tilford St, Dysart, IA 52224). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund will be established.
