We announce the death of Richard Wendell Hein of Dysart, Iowa, who passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 89. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hein and Elizabeth Hein (Beehner); his siblings, Robert Hein (Sandy) and Beverly; his siblings-in-law, Ralph Buck, David Linstrom (Arlene), Janice, Frank Troutwine and Donna Winegard; and his nephew Brad Buck (Rick Troutwine).
He is survived by: his children, Wendy Wieben (Mike) of Dysart and Jeff Hein (Cindy) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Clayton Wieben, Cassidy Schemmel (Ben), Chelsea Sills (Jeremy), Jacob Hein (Cathleen), Nathan Hein (Lauren) of Chicago and Melanie Wilson (Jordan) of Polk City; his great grandchildren, Braxton Wieben, Sullivan Schemmel, Brickam Wieben, Sawyer Sills, Silas Schemmel, Forrest Sills, Holly Nicole Hein, Josie Lois Hein of Chicago, Kali and Emmett Wilson; his sisters, Arlene Linstrom of Ames and Jane Karr (Craig) of Glen Haven, CO; his brother-in-law Ron Winegard of Denver; and his friends, Mary Wankowicz, Margena Voigt and Tami Coolbaugh.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St Paul's Presbyterian Church in Washburn, IA.
