He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hilmer and Nelda Schreiber Hilmer; his wife Lorraine Petersen; and his daughter-in-law Jackie Hilmer. He is survived by: his children, Marshall Hilmer of Dysart, Scott Hilmer (Penny) of Boone, Robert William Jr. Hilmer (Kimberly) of Dysart, Curt Hilmer of Dysart and Stacey Dabney (Dennis) of Dysart; and his grandchildren, Celena, Abby, Bill, Katie, Bobbie, Amanda, Amber, Amy Kelsi, Raini, Brady and Jaimi. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
