In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burdette Middleton and Dorothy Middleton (Hinkley); his son Troy Middleton; his niece Joy Niklasen (Middleton); and his great-nephew Kurt Reidy.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Middleton; his brother John Middleton (Marilyn); his siblings-in-law, Clark Dey (Elaine) and Kay Bisinger; and his daughter-in-law Sara Middleton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Foust Funeral Home (1115 SW 2nd St, Eagle Grove, IA 50533). A memorial service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
