It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry W. Johnson of Eagle Grove, Iowa, who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Bud" Johnson and Ruth Johnson; his siblings, Karen Johnson and Russell Johnson; his niece Dawn Johnson; and his in-laws, Vince, Veronica Walsh, Ron and Onalee Walsh.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Johnson; his children, Roxanne Flaherty, Kurt Johnson (Fran), Denise Peterson (Tom), Denny Johnson (Tammy) and Kenny Johnson (Donna); and his aunt June Algoe. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 6 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the New Covenant Christian Church (3318 5th Ave S, Fort Dodge, IA 50501).
