He was predeceased by : his parents, Gail B. Rice and Dorothy M. Rice (Sroufe); and his brother Terry. He is survived by : his children, Nicholas Rice of Algona, Kayla Williams of Farmington and Nathan Rice (Alyssa) of Humboldt; his grandchildren, Tyson, Mara Jo, Reed, Tyrus, Trenton, Jentri, Jori and Jettsyn; and his sister Jackie Fevold of Humboldt.
