He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Evans and Helen Evans; his son Gregory; and his sister Arlene. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Mains; his son Jeff Evans (Laura); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Evans (Katie), Samantha Wasson (Jesse), Jessica Morrill (Justin), Ben Evans (Dani) and Natalie Evans (Wesley); and his brothers, Gene Evans, David Johnson and Tony Walker. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
