We announce the death of John R. Johnson (Eddyville, Iowa), who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd James and Lola Gladys Johnson; and his siblings, Bob, Pearl Williams, Helen Akers, Jim, Don, Phyllis Harding, Myron and Irvin.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Watts; his children, Kim Smith (Jim) and Mark Johnson (Janet); his grandchildren, Kristina Werling (Noah), Veronica Billingsley (Sam), Lynette Smith, Jace Johnson, Talen Johnson and Kenadi Johnson; and his great grandchild Violet Billingsley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eddyville Celebrate Life Center (216 Walnut St, Eddyville, IA 52553). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Eddyville Community Church (1001 Main St, Eddyville, IA 52553).
Memorials may be directed to the Serenity Hospice House of Oskaloosa.
