He is survived by: his children, Remington Straube (Kelsey Freeburn) of Grinnell, Gracie Straube (Jacob Baker) of Oskaloosa, Emma Straube (Shayla Playle) of Oskaloosa, Ruger Straube of Chariton and Holly Straube of Illinois; his grandchild Ensly Smith; his sister Nicole Dixson (Brad) of Chariton; and his nephews, C. J. and Brett Dixson.
