She was predeceased by: her parents, Aloysious Schnieders and Eleanora Schnieders (Kramer); her husband Darold Parkinson; her sons-in-law, Tom Kelchen and Del Timmerman; her siblings, LaVerne Schnieders (Mary), Merrel Schnieders and Ilene O'Connell (Joseph); and her siblings-in-law, Valene Schnieders and Albert Hallet.
She is survived by: her daughters, Darla Kelchen of Strawberry Point, Marla Chapman (Larry) of Earlville, Dena Struck (Tod) of Florida, Kathy Riechers (Ron) of Lamont and Bobbi Lukan (Mark) of New Vienna; her grandchildren, Dusty Kelchen, Jessie Cooksley, Jennifer Poppe, Stacey Miller, Garret Struck, Caleb Sullivan, Rachelle Feldmann, Rusty Feldmann, Ryan Riechers and Jodi Riechers; her great grandchildren, Dakota Cooksley, Clayton Cooksley, Karley Ann Cooksley, Samantha Kelchen, Henry Kelchen, Hadley Kelchen, Thomas Kelchen, Silas Poppe, Grace Poppe, Declan Sullivan, Lyla Sullivan, Kashten Miller, Lennox Miller, Bowen Miller, Tiffany Riechers, Whitney Riechers and Ross Riechers; her siblings, Leroy Schnieders and Shirley Hallet; and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Schnieders. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
On August 21, 1959, Mary was united in marriage to Darold Parkinson, and they resided east of Edgewood.
