He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Hemm and Florence Hootman Hemm; his wife P. Annie Hemm; his siblings, Kenneth, Carol and Bonnie; and his pet Keno.

He is survived by : his former life partner Linda Keasling; his daughters, Holly Snyder (David) of Huntsville, MO and Sherri Beattie (Ray) of Ottumwa, IA; his grandchildren, Nicole Sanders (Travis), Ben Snyder (Grace), Hannah Snyder, Tori Kenel (D. J.), Kyle LaRue (Shannon), Dylan Beattie, Amy Beattie (Brandon Caldwell) and Emilee Beattie; and his brother David "Toad" Hemm. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
