It is with sadness that the passing of Martha Mott of Eldora, Iowa is shared. Martha, born on December 25, 1958, passed away on August 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Martha will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Martha by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Martha is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Martha’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mott and Laura J Mott (Teater); and her brothers-in-law, David Smith and Terry Nassen. She is survived by: her sisters, Laura Nassen of Eldora, Sara Hunt of Las Vegas and Donna Mott of Claremore; and her nephews, Jeremy Smith of Ackley and James Smith (Tina) of Iowa Falls. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Alden Legion Community Center (506 West St, Alden, IA 50006).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alden Public Library or the Alden Food Pantry.
