He was predeceased by: his parents, Standley M. Strait and Geneva Sizemore Strait (Fern); and his siblings, George Strait, Glenda Elliot, Russell Strait and Bina Strait.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Strait of Ankeny, IA, Dawn Sodders (Jason) of Eldora, IA, Angel Strait of Steamboat Rock, IA and Bill Strait of Denver, CO; and his grandchildren, Dalton Luse, Ethan Ackerman, Mercedez Sodders, Mason Sodders, Percy Ackerman and Will Strait. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
