He was predeceased by: his mother Jeanette King (Wenndt); and his wife Joni K. Beranek. He is survived by: his father Ralph King; his children, Kristi Cummins (Nick) of Newton, Iowa and Corey King (Stacie) of Montgomery, Ohio; his grandchildren, Colin, Allyson Cummins, Kylie, Hayden and Tyler King; and his sister Vicky Brunscheen (Rick) of Wyoming, Iowa. He is also survived by many extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Faith Lutheran Church's Camp Scholarship Fund or to the Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City.
