He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren L. Darland and Arline Darland (Swain); his former wife Peggy Schneckloth; his sister Jeri Moore (Al Moore); his sisters-in-law, Jan Darland and Dawn Schneckloth; his nephews, Jack Lindaman, Dane and Jack Schneckloth; his brother-in-law Dean Schneckloth; and his in-laws, Keith, Arbie Kirkpatrick, Merle and Ione Schneckloth.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen Darland; his daughter Emily Hasan (Ahmad); his granddaughter Nyla Darland Hasan; his siblings, Jim Darland, Jay Darland (Kathy), Jon Darland (Nita) and Jo Epkes (Randy); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Schneckloth, Bob Schneckloth (Sue), Dan Schneckloth (Jana) and Tami Gumpert (Joe). He is also survived by 38 nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Jack designated the North Scott Educational Foundation, PO Box 16, Eldridge, IA 52748, as the recipient of any memorial donations; he was a founding member of the board of directors in 1986.
