She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernard "Bernie" Beranek and Yvonne Beranek (Kruse); her husband Gary R. King; her children, Kristi Cummins (Nick) of Newton, Iowa and Corey King (Stacie) of Montgomery, Ohio; her grandchildren, Colin, Allyson Cummins, Kylie, Hayden and Tyler King; her sister Cindy Beranek of Robbins, Iowa; her pets, Shadow and Piper; and her brother Terry Beranek. She was also cherished by many extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City.
