He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Costello and Catherine A. Costello (Grabbe); his wife Shirley M. Wiese; his siblings, Mary Bennett (Bill), Pat Kroeger (Arlen), Frank Costello (Elma) and John R. Costello; and his siblings-in-law, Russel Wiese and Janet Dinter.
He is survived by: his former wife Charlene Twigg (Noel); his children, Yvonne Van Blaricom (Phil) of Eldridge and Brian Costello (Lisa); his grandchildren, Hunter (Kayla), Dillon, Lauren Van Blaricom, Chelsea LaCarte (Christian) and Tyler Costello; his great grandchildren, Kamryn, Lainey, Baker, Kai, Sage and Kamp; his siblings, Rita Smith (Dave), Sharon Spainhower (Ted) and Joe Costello; his sister-in-law Connie Costello; his nieces and nephews, Lori Ewoldt (Brad), Lonnie Twigg (Shannon) and Lea Rains (Eric); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Moriah Ewoldt, Markisa Tweed (Dustin), Morgan, Makylee (River), Malainie and Mashaila Ewoldt; his nieces and nephews, Jordanne, Zach, Carson Twigg, Alyssa, Faith and Dana Rains; Braxton and Nina Tweed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Scott Food Pantry, St. Ann's Knights of Columbus, or St. Ann's Parish.
