He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jaxon and Hayden; his son Neil Tuftee (Jennifer Nicklas); his girlfriend Pam Sauve; his daughters, Emily Nemmers (Dan) and Miranda Sauve; his granddaughters, Emma Tuftee and Carly Nemmers; his siblings, Sharon Austin (Rich), Marylou Weber (Vince), Lori Cummings (Chris), Beth Irving (Dave), Robert "Bob" Tuftee and Randall Tuftee (Doris); his sisters-in-law, Trish Tuftee and Becky Tuftee; and his pets, Shadow, Lillie, Lucie and Jack.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall at St. Ann's Catholic Church (16550 290th St, Long Grove, IA 52756). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery (16550 290th St, Long Grove, IA 52756).
Memorials may be directed to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, Iowa City.
