We announce the death of Richard Czupka of Eldridge, Iowa, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 90. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Czupka and Genevieve Czupka (Czosynka); his daughter Carol Periera; and his parents-in-law, Eddie and Ethel Edmonds.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Edmonds of Joseph's Church; his children, Cindy Manson (Todd) of Huntsville, AL, Cherie Pugil (Danny) of Boise, ID, Connie Worrell (Bill) of Orlando, FL, Clint (Mike Miller) of Minneapolis, MN, Craig (Kim) of Lafayette, IN, Curt (Colleen) of Davenport, IA, Cathy Radig (Ross) of Mt Juliet, TN, Cory (Gina) of Minneapolis, MN and Carrie Czupka of Davenport, IA; his sister Bernadine Bowman of Moline, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy and Jim Williams of Rock Island, IL.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (4105 N Division St, Davenport, IA 52806).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Empowering Abilities (HDC) in his honor.
