He is survived by: his children, Nicole Rathje (Kevin Kalb) and Christopher Meyer; his grandchildren, Brock Rathje of Eldridge, Iowa and Sage Rathje of Eldridge, Iowa; and his siblings, Judi Daniels (Stan), Mary Ann Finco (Jerry), Mark Meyer (Marsha) and Luke Meyer (Jane).

Memorials may be made to St. Ann's or Ohl Strong to support patients and families with pancreatic cancer.
