Butch Dean Tessmer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Butch Dean Tessmer (Elgin, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 8, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Tessmer and Marie Tessmer; his sister Susan Coiner; his parents-in-law, Harold and Nell Preuss; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Hague (Dan) and Beth Lecky.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Tessmer (Preuss); his children, Shawn (Katie), Paula Carlson (Ray) and Joe (Amy); his grandchildren, Josie, Dylan, Liam, Rowan, Emily, Asher, Jocelyn and Lucinda; his siblings, Sally Schlatter (Russ), Mike and Jay Tessmer; and his siblings-in-law, Lee, Dennis Preuss (Ann), Lynn Staats (Stan), Lori Herman (Jim), Peggy Osborn (Dan), Kathy Wagner (Bill), Shelia Burgin (Bob) and Jo Larson (Darren). He is also survived by his wife, children, and especially for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elgin First Baptist Church (22526 Canoe Rd, Elgin, IA 52141). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
All memorials will be made to Elgin First Baptist Church.
