He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bill Hills and Betty Hills (Schmidt); his wife Evelyn Hahn of Elgin; his children, Todd Hills (Marlene) of Waukon, IA, Brenda Greenwood (Tim) of Farley, IA, Kristi Shaffer (Eric) of Cedar Rapids and Reece Hills (Christine) of Erie, PA; his grandchildren, Joshua Hills, Jeremy Hills, Whitney Ehrlich, Wade Guyer, Wyatt Guyer, Jovi Hills, Kinzi Crilly, Addi Crilly, Payzlee Shaffer, Vanessa Pierson, Miles Hills, Emma Hills and Tenly Hills; his sister Linda Rieck (Gary) of Tripoli; and his in-laws, Carol Drewelow of New Hampton, IA, Barb Hahn of Center Point, IA and Steve Hahn (Jana) of Tripoli, IA. He was also cherished by twelve great grandchildren.
