She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Gene Hewitt and Stella Hewitt; her husband Mitch; her sister Pam; her children, Scott (Tonya), Shannon, Steve (Johnna), Jennifer (Trent) and Amber; and her grandchildren, Noah, Carley, Wesly, Kate and Kendall. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews; a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elkhart Christian Church in Elkhart, Iowa in her name.
