John Charles Lovell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Charles Lovell of Ellsworth, Iowa, who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frink Charles Jr. and Anne Lovell (Ayers); his stepfather Donald Goranson; his wife Janet Halleland Klein; his father-in-law Herbert Halleland; and his brother Joe Goranson.
He is survived by: his children, Travis Klein (Corrie), Maura Klein (Brandon Sturgill) and Emily Klein; his goddaughter Esther Rose Odhiambo Tischaefer; his grandchildren, Eliana, Skylar, Foster, Chance and Brakella; his brothers, Jim Lovell (Janis), Tom Lovell (Jan), Steve Goranson (Marcia Jensen) and Dan Goranson (Kimberly Darling); his mother-in-law Betty Halleland; and his siblings-in-law, Keith Halleland and Joan Kitten. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elim Lutheran Church.
