He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harlan Pietan and Isabel Pietan (Lauke); his wife Lisa Frein; his children, Elizabeth Rose Isabel Balk (Kyle) of Cresco, IA, Emily Chris Pietan (Austin Klimesh) of Elma, IA, Edward Glen (Aimee) of Iowa Falls, IA and Emmitt of Riceville, IA; his grandchildren, Owen, Killian, Braxten, Isabella, Sawyer, Ella and Harper; and his brothers, Robert (Mary) of Highlandville, IA and Mark of Elma, IA.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory (508 Maple St, Elma, IA 50628). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Maple Leaf (13431 Howard Ave, Elma, IA 50628).
