He is survived by : his children, Tom Ludwig (Lori) of Bradenton, FL, Jerry Ludwig of West Ossipee, N. H., Joanne Rausch (Bill) of Little Rock, Ark, Jean Loes (Kevin) of Mason City, IA, Susie Ludwig (Thomas Redditt) of St. Cloud, FL. and Rosemary Gansen (John). He is also survived by his children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hugeback & Johnson Funeral Home - Elma (508 Maple St, Elma, IA 50628). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church - Elma (203 7th St, Elma, IA 50628).
