With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cheryl Werstein (Emmetsburg, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Merfeld and Hilda Merfeld (Kruse); her sister Kathryn Zanios (Merfeld); her close friend Frank Kiroff; and her son Craig Werstein.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Werstein (Robin) of Wrens, GA, Timothy Werstein (Patricia) of Tomah, WI and Jamie Kiroff; her daughter-in-law Christine Werstein of Holiday, FL; and her grandchildren, Heather Werstein, Scott Werstein, Craig Werstein Jr., Samantha Werstein, Brandi Werstein and Kyle Werstein. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
