He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Opheim and Margaret Opheim (Koekenhoff); his brother Gene Opheim; and his nephew Austin Opheim. He is survived by: his wife LuAnn Kruse; his children, Jennifer Hoffman (Loren) of Mount Vernon, Scott Opheim (Heather Beirne) of Pompano Beach, FL and Aaron Opheim (Ana) of Emmetsburg; his grandchildren, Ryley, Anna, Emma Hoffman, Isabella and Susana; his sister Barb Wempen of Algona; and his sister-in-law Debbie Opheim of Cylinder.
Memorials may be made in Dale's name and directed to Bethany Lutheran Church or Mayo Clinic Cancer Research.
