He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph McEwan and Mildred McEwan (Farmer); his wife Alice McEwan; his sisters, Linda McEwan and Jane Schmidt; and his children, Myron Edwards and Debra McEwan.

He is survived by : his children, Joe McEwan (Stephanie Brown) of Emmetsburg, Logan McEwan (Tiffany) of Denver, Teresa Olson (Steve) of Spencer and Dean Edwards of Fort Collins, Colorado; and his brother Roger McEwan. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
