He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Arthur Bogen and Lenora Bogen (Kriege); his children, Kathleen, Michael and Laura; his wife Bonnie M. Lochrie; and his children, Susanna McTavish and Andrew Bogen. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Emmetsburg Rotary Club scholarship fund or Emmetsburg Main Street Community Theatre would be appreciated.
