With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn Kay Schrauth of Emmetsburg, Iowa, born in Wesley, Iowa, who passed away on July 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Kathryn Kay farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Kathryn Kay is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Goetz and Elizabeth Goetz (Erdman); her husband Bernard J. Schrauth of Joseph's Catholic Church; and her brothers, John Goetz and Ed Goetz.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Wojahn (Leon) of Emmetsburg, Dale Schrauth (Shirley) of Arthur and John Schrauth (Darlene) of Bloomington, Minnesota; and her sister Donna Grangenett of Algona, Iowa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren ten great grandchildren.
