She was predeceased by : her parents, Chris Nau and Johanna Nau (Isackson); her son James; her husband Homer E. "Gene" Cox; her parents-in-law, Homer and Elsie Cox; and her brother Edgar Nau.

She is survived by : her daughters, Joemae Cox, Jeani Heiman (Robert) of Ayrshire and Judith Duhn (Wendell) of Emmetsburg, Iowa; and her grandchildren, Jeen Clemitson, Wendy Seymour (Wade), Jodi Jergens (Ryan) and Judd Duhn (Sonya). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and many friends.
