She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Naig and Vera Naig (Lawrence); her husband Wayne Smith of John's Lutheran Church; her son Ricky Smith; her siblings, Josephine Juhl (Arno), Marie Evenson (Ken), Charley (June), LeRoy (Alice), Robert (Marilyn), Richard and Gaylord (Janice); and her brother-in-law Rev. Allen Fanning.
She is survived by: her children, Nancella Dobbins (Craig) of West Lafayette, IN and Lonnie Smith (Rhonda) of Hubbard; her grandchildren, Jarett Dobbins (Lesley), Carrie Dobbins (Steve Kitts), Monica Chambers (Scott) and Lacey Sotelo (Manny); her great grandchildren, Jack, Anne Dobbins, Miles, Morgan Kitts, Gracey and Robert Mann; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Gatlin and Aniston Chambers; her sister Grace Ann Fanning; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Naig of Emmetsburg.
Memorials may be made in Marcella's name and directed to Hospice of Palo Alto County.
