It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Dirks of Emmetsburg, Iowa, born in Meservey, Iowa, who passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Dirks and Tena Dirks (Boelman); and his son Scott. He is survived by: his children, Debra Dirks of Morristown, Minnesota and Bruce Dirks (Martha) of Fairmont, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Loran Hanson, Brooke Pierce, Tony Strayer and Erin Strayer; his great grandchildren, Aidian Hanson, Remington and Wesson Pierce; and his brothers, Jim (Nancy) of Clear Lake and John (Cindy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law.
