He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl and Ethel (Beilhorz); his former wife Diane Funderburg; his son Daniel Sidles; his son-in-law Dana Lee; and his siblings, Delores Johnson and Don Sidles.

He is survived by: his wife Carol of Emmetsburg; and his children, Deb Lee of Whittemore, Amy Gilderhus of Spencer and Casey Sidles (Erika) of Arvada, CO. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ron's name to the American Heart Association.
