It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris M. Wessels of Epworth, Iowa, who passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence "Shorty" Wilgenbusch and Matilda "Tillie" Wilgenbusch (Hannan); her husband Philip M. Wessels of Patrick's Church; and her siblings, Mary Alice Connolly (Ron), Margie Zimmer (Dennis) and Willis Wilgenbusch.
She is survived by : her children, Mike Wessels (Julie) of Epworth, Mark Wessels (Cora) of Dubuque, Judy McCarthy (Ron) of Epworth, Amy Vandervaart (Tom) of Cedar Rapids and Joe Wessels (Deb) of Cascade; her siblings, Cheryl Hird (Bob) of Dubuque, Tom Wilgenbusch (LaVonne) of Epworth, Dan Wilgenbusch (Connie) of Epworth and Steve (Janet Wilgenbusch); and her sisters-in-law, Kay Wilgenbusch of Epworth, Doris Wiskus (Laverne) of Colesburg and Nancy Goerdt of Earlville. She is also survived by twelve grandsons and 1 granddaughter; 4 great grandchildren.
