He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Urbain and Irene Urbain (Casey); his wife Ruth A. Kutsch of Columbkille's Catholic Church; his sisters, Mary Katherine Lassance (Dave), JoAnn Adams, Monica O'Brien, Elaine Decker (Bud), Donna Flynn (John) and Nora Cottrell; his parents-in-law, George and Ella Kutsch (Berg); and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Heitzman (Leo), Ethel Spautz (Joe), Rose Keuter, Lloyd Sweeney, Don Lindauer, George Murphy, George Kutsch (Margie), Robert Kutsch and Eldon Kutsch.
He is survived by: his children, Joanne Miller (John) of Davenport, John Urbain (Van) of Epworth and Joyce Frasher (Randy) of Cascade; his grandchildren, Jamie Koopman (Aaron), Jana, Jay Miller, Samantha and Josey Frasher; his sisters, Jane Sweeney of Epworth and Ellen Lindauer of Cascade; and his brothers-in-law, Joe O'Brien of Cascade, Bill Adams (Karen) of Dyersville and Bruce Cottrell of Dubuque.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Reiff Funeral Home (115 E Main St, Epworth, IA 52045). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (22481 E Pleasant Grove Rd, Epworth, IA 52045).
