She was predeceased by: her parents, James O'Meara and Mabel O'Meara (Wall); her in-law Arthur Brandenburg (Edna); her husband Richard J. Brandenburg; her sisters, Lois Konzen (James) and Mary Hartman (Kenny); and her siblings-in-law, Harold Brandenburg (Patricia), William Brandenburg, James Brandenburg, Bruce Brandenburg (Teresa) and Donna Kahrs.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Brandenburg (Sue) of Le Mars, Sherry Horsfield (Steven) of Peosta, Robin Shultz (Joe) of Dubuque, Dick Brandenburg (Don) of Tampa, FL and Terry Brandenburg (Cindy) of Epworth; her siblings, Helen Hartman (Bill) of Epworth and James O'Meara (Carol) of Des Moines; her brother-in-law Clarence Brandenburg of Dubuque; and her caregivers, Angie, Dr. Engelman of Medical Associates and Dr. Ringold of UnityPoint Health. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Epworth Food Pantry in honor of June Brandenburg—a tribute to her lifelong commitment to helping others and her enduring legacy of kindness.
