She was predeceased by : her parents, Stanley Sefzik and Wreathal Sefzik (Pate); her husband Wayne Young; and her granddaughter Morgan Mueller. She is survived by : her children, Ken Mueller (Patti Ryan) of Key West, IA, Don Mueller (Sandra) of Epworth, IA, Dale Mueller (Beverly) of Key West, IA and Sharon Meyer (Jim) of Epworth, IA; her grandchildren, Evan Mueller (Molly), Jared (Kelsey Callahan), Holly, Hannah Mueller, Tanner Meyer (Ashley Chester), MacKenzie Kutsch (Kody), Kalli Jahnke (Eric), Macy Meyer (Ryan Kramer) and Ella Meyer (Davis Stelzer); and her great grandchildren, Cal, Murphy, Remmington, Walter and Ginny.

In lieu of flowers a Virginia Young memorial fund has been established.
