He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaylen Thomason and Lorraine Thomason (Hammond); his stepfather Howard Powers; his son Steven; his brothers, Stanley and Ronald; his half-sister Leslie Bruinekool; and his brother-in-law Hank Hemmen.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Thomason of Evansdale; his children, Daniel Thomason of Charles City, Teresa Miller of Charles City, Michael Thomason (Linda) of Wautoma, WI and Kristin Becker (Joseph) of Greene; his half-sister Dorothy Ryan (Mike); his brother Spencer Thomason (Connie); his half-brother Brian Thomason; his sister Marilyn Hemmen; and his sister-in-law Cherryl Thomason. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and several cousins.
