He was predeceased by: his grandfather Larry Gates. He is survived by: his parents, Rhonda Gates and Craig Gates; his children, ReaLynn and Brycin; his wife Cora Spooner; his siblings, Brennah Gates of Britt, Elijah Gates (Emily) of Readlyn, Savannah Lyon of Spencer, Noah Lyon of Waterloo, Tom Hemenway of Waterloo, Robert Webster (Amber) of Hudson, Paul Greene of Evansdale, Cyrus Spooner of Evansdale, Tessa Salisbury of Waterloo, Jacob Salisbury of Hedrick and Jack Nieman of Ackley; his grandmothers, Arletta Weatherbee and Ethel Gates; his stepgrandmother Annie Gates; and his in-laws, John and Kathy Greene. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
