He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sparks and Mabel Sparks (Ross); his extended family Larry Johnson; and his son-in-law Danny Caylor. He is survived by: his cousin Bruce (Connie); his wife Darlene Axelson; his daughters, Kym Caylor and Brenda Ortmann (Henry); his grandchildren, Neal and Emily Caylor; his brother Carl Sparks (Doris); and his extended family Darlene. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Darlene's Home (26183 IA-5, Exline, IA 52555).
