It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew William Hemminger of Fairfax, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Tom Hemminger; and his sister Elizabeth. He is survived by : his mother Pam Akers; his stepfather Al Akers; his sister Michele; his brother-in-law George Hahn; his children, McKenna and Merrick; his nephews, Chase and Chandler Bolton; and his pet Nyla.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the family.
