He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Shondel and Grace Shondel (Dennison); his wife Lila Kay Harrison; his sons, Albert and Dough; and his siblings, Fred, Anna, Ella, Mick, Bobby, Herbert, Mabel, Junior, Debra, Charlotte, Tina and Sherry.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Shondel of Fairfield, Holly Shondel of Fairfield and Jodi Shondel of Fairfield; and his brothers, Larry and Doug Shondel of Fairfield.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Behner Funeral Home & Crematory (203 S Main St, Fairfield, IA 52556). A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Keokuk National Cemetery (1701 J St, Keokuk, IA 52632).
