He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Wahl and Margaret Schaefer Wahl; his brother Bill; and his sister-in-law Vicki Wahl. He is survived by: his former wife Linda Leathers; his in-laws, Ralph and Mary Helen Leathers; his children, Stacie Hootman (Jerry) of Fairfield, IA and James Wahl (Shayanne) of Freeburg, MO; his brother Tony Wahl (Karen); his grandchildren, Alicia Hootman, Elizabeth Hootman, Christian Wahl (Delaney), Nicholas Wahl, Alexandra Wahl (Troy Anderson) and Elise Shoemaker; and his great grandchildren, Nora McCreedy, Charlotte Hootman and Theodore Wahl.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Doug's honor to the Iowa Veterans Home of Marshalltown.
