He is survived by: his wife Mindy Fannin; his children, Joshua Garrett (Awareness), Brian "Buck" Garrett and Brittini Garrett; his grandchildren, Wakefield and Wyatt Garrett; his siblings, Frank, Jim (Nancy), Barbara (Rob) and Will (Amy); his child Kare; his grandchildren, Guera, Sara, Rosa and Angel; and also, Beth Smith and Matt Nicholson.
A casual, memory and laughter sharing open house will be held for Dave, with donations in his memory encouraged to the Iowa Tourette's Advocacy and Awareness and Jefferson County Little League.
