With sadness, we share the passing of Ernie Riepe of Fairfield, Iowa. Ernie, born on February 23, 1939, passed away on September 2, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ernie Riepe to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Riepe and Minnie Riepe (Rubey); his stepmother Dellora Riepe; his siblings, Evelyn Godwin and John; and his son Timmy.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Jenks; his daughters, Becky Thompson (Chad) and Sherri Dow (Ken); his grandchildren, Megan Thompson, Erin Read (Kyle), Nathan Thompson (Delphina), Eric Dow, Lauren Dow and Danielle Dow; his great grandchild Joel Read; his brother Paul Riepe (Barb); and his sister-in-law Margaret Hennes (Jim). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the First Lutheran Church (201 W Briggs Ave, Fairfield, IA 52556). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:45 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Elks National Foundation, First Lutheran Church, or the Fairfield Trojan Booster Club.
