It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Eugene Ruggles of Fairfield, Iowa, born in Ottumwa, Iowa, who passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ronald R. Ruggles and Mary Ruth Ruggles (Whitmore); his brother Steve Ruggles; his niece Alisha Ruggles; and his brother-in-law Dennis Blakely.

He is survived by : his wife Debra Monk; his daughters, Rochelle Archer (Corey) of Ely and Renaté Nickell (Ryan) of Cedar Rapids; his sisters, Connie Hersh (Greg) of Ollie and Shelly Eckley (Pastor Dar) of Hedrick; and his grandchildren, Aylah, Liam Archer, Tyson, Kaden, Ryiah and Raina Nickell.
